When done safely, trampolines are a great play activity and resource for children to engage with however, must adhere to the following requirements;

  • Trampolines must comply with the current Australian Standard.
  • Trampolines must have safety netting in good condition.
  • The family day care educator must obtain written parental permission prior to the child using the trampoline.
  • Direct adult supervision must always be provided while the trampoline is in use.
  • Only 1 child is on the trampoline at any one time
  • The child will be encouraged to stay in the centre of the trampoline during its use.
  • . Safety pads must be in place around the trampoline’s side springs. Frame padding should be a completely different colour to that of the bed.
