Liberty Family Day Care believe children Learn in the Best of Care when they are able to interact with others in a collaborative learning environment. We value and believe in quality of childcare in the environment of an educator’s home. In respect to Educators Liberty Family Day Care believe:

  • That Educators knowledge of individual children is crucial to providing a safe environment and meaningful experiences that will increase children’s learning.
  • That Educators value reflective practice, engaging in questions of philosophy, ethics and practice with peers, families, and Liberty Family Day Care to make positive changes.
  • value Educators individual knowledge, skills and personalities that enrich their teaching practices. 
  • Educators need to be radical in their thinking and practices in order to scaffold children’s learning.

In respect to the program Liberty Family Day Care believe:

  • That any program deliver must consider the child and the related nature of development and learning. The program should support children’s social, emotional, personal, spiritual, creative, cognitive, linguistic, and physical development.
  • That program is developed in response to observations and documentation of each children’s strengths, abilities, and interests.
  • Children need to be provided with an adaptable play-based curriculum that offers different learning styles.
  • That program must provide opportunities for children to choose intentional teaching and spontaneous experiences.
  • Those programs are design to respect and support individuality and cultural diversity.

In respect to the Environment Liberty Family Day Care believe:

  • That educator must provide safe and secure learning environment where educators have a play-based programs both indoor and outdoor to promote, challenge and encourage children participation 
  • The environment should welcome children, families, coordination unit staff and visitors and celebrate the diversity of cultures within the community.

In respect to diversity Liberty Family Day Care believe:

  • All children, families, Educators, and coordination unit staff from religious, culturally, or linguistically diverse backgrounds, are treated rightfully and are supported, valued, and included in all parts of the scheme.
  • An anti-bias program encourages children’s awareness of similarities between people, and it teaches children respect for everyone regardless of their gender, religion, culture, race, physical or intellectual abilities.
